Ms. Beth and her family have been residents of the Avonworth Community for over 16 years. She has been married to her husband Edd for 27 years and has 3 children: 22 year old boy/girl twins who are recent graduates of the University of Pittsburgh, and a 20 year old daughter who attends Robert Morris University. Ms. Beth graduated from Clarion University with a degree in Elementary Education and attended Duquesne University for her masters Degree and Reading Specialist Certification. She has been very involved in the Avonworth School District by serving as President of the Parent Network, a member of the district’s strategic planning committee, advisory board member for district Career Academies, and was awarded the “Friend of Education” distinction through the PSEA by the Avonworth School District. She works closely with the principal and staff of the Primary Center to ensure a smooth transition into Kindergarten.

Ms. Melissa has lived in the Avonworth district all of her life! She and her husband Mike (also an Avonworth alumni) have three boys ages 12, 18, 20. Melissa came to us from Wooden Ladder preschool in Ben Avon where she acquired 3 years of experience in the 2 year old classroom as well as the 3 year old and Pre-k classrooms. Ms. Melissa has been with GELA for 4 years and is entering into her 5th year as the AM Pre-k teacher assistant. She is the glue that holds us all together:)

Ms. Jenna and her family have been residents of the Avonworth Community for 16 years. She and her husband Rod have 11 year old boy/girl twins who are currently in 5th grade at Avonworth. Ms. Jenna earned a BS in Industrial Engineering and a MS in Management Science from Lehigh University. Jenna stepped away from her Management Consulting career to focus on raising her children, and became more involved in the Avonworth Community volunteering for organizations such as the PTA and Girl Scouts, while also earning a substitute teaching permit. Ms. Jenna will be working with ALL of the students as she will be an AM teaching assistant in the 3 yr old classroom and a PM teaching assistant in the pre-k classroom!
Erin Pascuzzi: Pre-k Teacher(4-5 year olds)

Ms. Erin and her family have lived in Avonworth for 11 years. She and her husband Chris have three boys ages 9, 7, and 5. Ms. Erin graduated from Penn State University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in math and science. She spent several years in the classroom, but when she realized her passion was for early childhood education, she decided to nanny for a wonderful family in McCandless for 5 years. She spent the last 9 years raining her boys, and is really looking forward to getting back into the classroom at Genesis.
